Why we built Kepler Savings
We know how daunting it can be to think about retirement — and we know what happens when you don't think about it at all.
Amanda, Kori, and Jeremy — Kepler's founding team — all grew up in blue collar households where savings were hard to come by and retirement was an afterthought. We watched our families struggle to decide whether to pay bills or enjoy life, without having the means to plan for a future beyond work. When you're choosing between putting food on the table, paying for a dentist visit or sending your kid on a field trip, putting money aside for retirement seems like a low priority...until it's not.
A lot of American families know this struggle. As of 2022, 64% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, and more than half say they're behind on retirement savings. But in a time when there are more opportunities than ever before to save, build or create wealth right on your phone, it doesn't have to be this way. The key is finding the right tool to help you set and meet your long-term retirement goals — and to make it so simple and seamless that you don't even have to think about it.

Our founding team has done some pretty impressive things over the years. They’ve been some of the first team members grinding it out at small startups, operated as founders and co-founders of their own ventures and focused on strategy and implementation as executives at larger companies. They now bring this wealth of knowledge together to create a new mission-driven company.
